this warmth

this warmth
in my hand - father's
old pocket watch

I'd think of the watch as cool, but "warmth" catches the meaning of the moment.RfyiRev

Hi Warren,

So glad to see you posting again.

I can relate to this haiku, not with a pocket watch, but with my father's sweater which I wear often in the winter.

Hi Bill and Adelaide - I recently inherited my father's pocket watch following the death of my brother (older so he originally inherited the watch). I coveted the watch for years and when I finally had it in my hand it was a very special feeling, a connection with my father who died when I was three years old, thus a father I never got to know. My brother did have eight years with him. At the same time I inherited dad's old razor, which I guarantee you I'll never try to use.

Thanks for coming in on this one - you both are appreciated.
